Immerse yourself in the unspoilt beauty of the La Maddalena Archipelago, a paradise of 60 islands and islets in the heart of the National Park aboard our exclusive Princess J III

La Maddalena National Park

A natural sanctuary of rare beauty, the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is Italy's only geomarine park, guardian of a unique ecosystem. The undisputed protagonist is the sea: 180 km of jagged coastline, 60 islands and islets sculpted by the wind, crystal-clear waters that fade from turquoise to emerald. Here, every nook and cranny tells a story: from the underwater canyons of Spargi, a diving paradise, to the Pink Beach of Budelli, famous for its coral grains and shells that dye the sand pink. Sailing through its inlets, you can spot dolphins, sea turtles and migratory birds, while the captain will guide you to deserted bays where you can organise gourmet picnics or snorkelling sessions among tropical fish. The park is not just about nature: it also holds historical relics, such as the remains of Roman ships and Napoleonic fortifications, perfect for a dip into the past between swims.

Unmissable islands

ISLAND OF SPARGI - CALA CORSARA

Spargi, the most striking uninhabited island in the park, is a masterpiece sculpted by wind and sea. Its pearl is Cala Corsara, a crescent of white sand lapped by turquoise waters, surrounded by granite rocks moulded into bizarre shapes. Here, time seems to stand still: you can wander among white dunes, swim in crystal-clear natural pools or explore the seabed full of wrecks and underwater canyons, the habitat of groupers and moray eels. The east coast hides other gems such as Cala Granara, where the sand glistens in the sun, and Cala Conneri, shrouded in lush vegetation. For a unique experience, the captain will take you to spots reserved for private yachts, where you can enjoy lunch on board overlooking the red cliffs lit by the sunset.

RAZZOLI, SANTA MARIA AND BUDELLI

The three northern queens of the archipelago, Razzoli, Santa Maria and Budelli, are a triumph of colours and silences. In Budelli, the legendary Pink Beach (now protected and accessible only by boat) will leave you breathless with its pinkish-coral hues, created by microscopic fragments of coral and shells. Santa Maria, connected to Razzoli by a thin strip of sand known as the 'Passo degli Asinelli', offers the thrill of walking on a very shallow, ankle-deep water between two crystal-clear seas. At Razzoli, on the other hand, wild scenery dominates: sheer cliffs, sea caves such as Grotta del Papa, and the picturesque Cala Cappello, ideal for a sunset dip. These islands, immersed in an almost surreal atmosphere, are the perfect place for those who want to feel like 'the last human being on Earth', far from conventional tourist routes.
